Belle Gunness was a mid-tempo thrash act born in the Netherlands in 2004. Their band name coincides with that of a serial killer from Norway, who after seducing men they were killed and feed the pigs.

Guitarists Petra and Marjolein were responsible for generating the project, which has seen the come and go of several members until its demise.

The reason for Belle Gunness premature separation is their inability to survive their lineup changes (caused by the different degrees of ambition of its members), especially the last departure of bassist Maaike.

They leave a two song promo as legacy, featuring “Everywhere” and “Defend Yourself,” which sounded in his farewell gig on December 29, 2007 in Ede.

Stockholm all female quartet APHRODITE would provide an early career stepping stone for musicians that subsequently came to the fore with the hard hitting DRAIN STH. The original lineup underwent many direction changes in both musical and image. Guitarist Flavia Canel and drummer Martina Axén have been together in many acts starting with Punk band LIVIN' SACRIFICE. As this act progressed the sound developed into more of a Hard Rock vein, consequently changing titles to APHRODITE in 1985. They had the song "Playing With Fire" featured on the compilation 'Sommarrock 85', followed up with an eponymous mini-album in 1986.
