Purulence was one of the first Brazilian female bands to play death metal. Their musical life was short, but engough to release an album containing thirteen songs, “Going The Putrid Reality”, through the label Rottenness Records.

Purulence was one of the first Brazilian female bands to play death metal.

Their musical life was short, but engough to release an album containing thirteen songs, “Going The Putrid Reality”, through the label Rottenness Records. It was a split with another band called New York Against The Belzebu, and it showed Purulence gore-themed letters and titles, the Carcass style, and their death metal music often crossed the border with grindcore.
