Hey, I’m an 18-year-old left-handed girl guitarist who, among many others, loves all-female bands (The Runaways, Girlschool, Rock Goddess, Phantom Blue, The Donnas and Crucified Barbara). I write my own songs (Niky @ Bandzone) and currently play in the band of a well-known metal singer in the Czech Republic, Aleš Brichta. I try hard to prove that girls can kick ass as hard as any guy, and one day I’d like to start my own all-girl metal band.

They are five young women decided to keep alive the feeling and the sonic and visual impact of the legendary Hard Rock and Heavy Metal bands of the Seventies and Eighties.

Biography:
Back in 2005, five young women coming from different musical experiences, decided to create a new Rock band to be called Rougenoire.

Their commitment will be to keep alive the feeling and the sonic and visual impact of the legendary Hard Rock and Heavy Metal bands of the Seventies and Eighties.

The Rougenoire name has been supplied by Mia Wallace (character of Quentin Tarantino’s movie “Pulp Fiction”) nail varnish.

Rougenoire’s live performances (hundreds to date) are breathtaking and groundbreaking: the stage is their home! In 2012 they release their first CD entitled “The Show”: modern technologies helped Rougenoire to “capture” their sound remaining close to their Rock traditional musical roots.

All-female, raw vocals, remarkable riffs and lots of distortion. That’s what the Brazilian band Girlie Hell sounds like.

All-female, raw vocals, remarkable riffs and lots of distortion. That’s what the Brazilian band Girlie Hell sounds like.

Influenced by bands like L7, Kittie, Crucified Barbara, Danko Jones, The Donnas, AC/DC, Girlschool, Foo Fighters, Metallica and others, they draw attention wherever they go, combining a strong pace and addictive melodies.

The band came together in 2007, but it was in 2010 that it was fully set up, exploring the best in each member. Bullas Attekita (vocals and solo guitar), Julia Stoppa (second guitar), Fernanda Simmnds (bass) and Carol Pasquali (drums) form Girlie Hell.

With the first EP “Shake Your Ass”, released in 2008 by Fosforo Cultural, the band began amid the Brazilian alternative rock scene. In 2011, while recording two singles of the new phase, the four women were surprised with the approval of a project to record the first album by the Municipal Law of Incentive to Culture. The 11 tracks were recorded at Studio Rocklab, produced by Gustavo Vazquez and Luis Maldonalle.

The release of the CD, entitled “Get Hard”, is planned for early 2012, under the label Monstro Discos. So, this year the band plans to travel around the country to show their new songs, in a more ‘girlie’ way and much more ‘hell’.

Biography:
It all started in January 2011 in Denver, Colorado. Ark and Kelly met up with the hope of starting up a black metal project. Ark brought in Nicole on bass and Kelly brought in Angelique on drums. Instead of sticking to one sound they brought in other elements of metal and punk and created a completely dark and heavy sound. Fusing black/death/doom metal and crust punk.

These brutal ladies have been in numerous other bands: Scarchasm, Saved By Ruin, Broken Couches, and Döersovit.

Mötley Künst are the all-girl international sensation you’ve never heard of. They’ve played with the likes of Poison, Guns n’ Roses, White Snake and a host of others. They even stepped in for Alice Cooper’s touring band when all the members were struck down in a freak milkshake accident in Akron, Ohio.

All girl Mötley Crüe covers band. Hot stuff. What more do you need to know? Oh, alright then…

The live show is an adventure of short skirts, high kicks and balls-out adrenalin which has seen vocalist Danni Deville and Bassist Scarlette O’Harlette taking turns riding a mechanical bull whilst simultaneously strip-teasing with an articulated anaconda.

Drummer Käöz studied under Taiwanese pole dancers and can swallow her sticks while performing an outrageous and perfect drum fill. Must be seen to be believed!

And last, but certainly not least, guitarist Jam has broken hearts of every stripe, gender, age and height across Europe and the US with her guile. Some have even said she practices witchcraft… No one has ever seen her and Elvira in the same room… Just saying…

Biography:
Jadish born in Turin in 2006 with the union of three musicians with a proven experience and diverse backgrounds.

It’s a band in constant evolution that is permanently trying out new sounds, without fear of contaminating their music, but wanting to make it even more unique, special and innovative.

The presence of Marie Bassou, German with Italian origins, allows the girls to compose songs in English and German. Authors and arrangers of their own songs, tirelessly performing concerts all over Italy and Europe, offering their music made with passion and strength.

Their concerts are an evidence of continuous research and innovation, detectable in the 6-track demo “Shame” and the record released by Soundiva in 2011 “When Something Dies”.

Blackthorn strikes back with “Codex Archaos”, the solidification of a style that began to be defined in their debut “Araneum”. The harshness of the blast-beats, the tormented keyboards and violins, and the bass lines feed the Blackthorn sound with darkness. On this basis, the guitars provide the power and energy riff by riff. The vocals, sometimes operatic sometimes guttural but always devilish, complete an excellent journey through the depths of hell.

Even being a compact and homogeneous album its dark symphonic metal has many faces, absorbing Dimmu Borgir’s epic and the gothic but tenebrous beauty of the early Cradle Of Filth. The technique and accuracy of these five evil goddesses is reflected in songs such as “Vehemence Came As Anodyne”, full of rhythm changes were all their weapons come into play.

“Codex Archaos” is as unpredictable as original, either by alternating tempos in compositions without a structural pattern or by details such as the piano of “Arria Marcella”, the violins in “Gorgon the Ascendant” or the demonic choirs of a “Posthumous Ephemera Passion” featuring great guitar lines, melodic yet metal.

The artwork is a plus for the CD, visually reflecting the universe that enters our ears. Finally, I need to emphasize the production, as no instrument detach more than other, only pushed to the front without abruptness when its presence is required by the song vibe.

These supplements are necessary to complete a professional and recommended release.
