Grabesmond fue una banda austriaca, y es curiosa la manera como ha llegado a este artículo. Nació en 1995 como un dúo masculino, formado por Richard Lederer “Protector” y Peter Kubic.

Grabesmond fue una banda austriaca, y es curiosa la manera como ha llegado a este artículo. Nació en 1995 como un dúo masculino, formado por Richard Lederer “Protector” y Peter Kubic.

Grabaron una demo titulada “In Schwindendem Licht”, tras la cuál se disolvieron para centrarse en sus otros proyectos: Summoning, Die Verbannten Kinder Evas, Ice Ages, Pazuzu, Abigor, Heidenreich, Hellbound, December Fog y Amestigon. Casi nada.

Cuando parecía que Grabesmond había desaparecido definitivamente, Lucia-M. Fåroutan se plantó en Viena proveniente de Suecia en el año 1996. En la capital austriaca conoció a Peter, el que ahora es su marido, quien le habló del grupo que un año atrás había decidido colgar las guitarras.

Lucia tenía en mente formar un grupo, y el nombre de Grabesmond encajaba con su proyecto musical de música ambiental de corte medieval con sintetizadores.

El primer álbum del renacido Grabesmond, con Lucia como única compositura e intstrumentista, fue “Mordenheim”, un oscuro viaje instrumental (sin voces).

Dos años después se publicó “Xenoglossie”, tras el cuál Lucia decidió terminar con Grabesmond debido a problemas con la discográfica Draenor, trabajando en otras bandas como Abigor (en “Supreme Immortal Art & Satanized”) o Heidenreich (“Trance”) entre 1997 y 2001.

Aghast was a two-witches (Nebelhexë and Nachtexe) and one album (“Hexerei Im Zwielichet Der Finsternis”) project, which despite receiving good reviews was not enough to keep the band alive.

Biography:
Aghast was a two-witches (Nebelhexë and Nachtexe) and one album (“Hexerei Im Zwielichet Der Finsternis”) project, which despite receiving good reviews was not enough to keep the band alive.

His music is essentially atmospheric, terrifying, minimalist, based on synthesizers and pianos with very discrete drums input. As a curiosity, Nebelhexë was married to Samoth from Emperor and Natchexe with Fenriz of Darkthrone. Also curious is to note that the voices in their only released album were recorded with a mic that belonged to Dead, of Mayhem.

After splitting up Andrea, who has also sung in some Cradle Of Filth album, entered her folk era with Hagalaz ‘Runedance, comprising from 1996 to 2002 and releasing three albums. In this period she published her first book “The Ancient Fires of Midgard”, which brings us to the ancient Germanic religion and teaches us how to use and interpret the magic runes.

Since 2004, Andrea went into darkwave gothic music under the name of Nebelhexë.
