Misstallica offers the Metallica experience but with bobbies!!! The Misstallica girls are real deal, no joke musicians! They bring the thrash, bang and boom better than most men! Skeptics be prepared for a good olde fashioned ass kicking.

Country: United States
History: 2008 – Present
Status: Active
Style: Metallica tribute
Biography:
Misstallica is the world’s only all-Female tribute to Metallica. Formed in 2008 as a side project to the girls’ already successful Queen Diamond (All-Female Tribute to King Diamond), Mistallica was the response to the want and need for old school thrash metal and a pretty face to go with it. As the girls at the band say, “Mistallica offers the Metallica experience but with boobies!!!”
The Misstallica repertoire focuses on the first 4 Metallica albums (“Kill ‘Em All”, “Ride The Lightning”, “Master of Puppets” and “…And Justice For All”) with a few of those cover gems from Garage Inc. thrown in for good measure.
The Misstallica girls are real deal, no joke musicians. They bring the thrash, bang and boom better than most men.
Lineup:
Gina Gleason – Vocals, guitar
Leanne Martz – Guitar
Teddi Tarnoff – Bass

In early 2011 the group had already composed four instrumental tracks, but it was Momia Dark’s voice incorporation that gave the final touch with her aggressive and devastating contribution. From then four songs were unleashed with names like “Hermanas del Pecado” (“Sisters of Sin”), “Hijas del Verdugo” (“Executioner’s Daughters”), “Asesinas de la Noche” (“Night Killers”) and “Infernal Pussy”.
Acid left the band in March 2011 due to musical differences to be replaced in May by Nightmare, a good complement with its new ideas on bass.

HellArise is a Brazilian all female band that play 100% pure Heavy Metal. Trying to add to their songs a little bit of the members’ influences (especially Heavy, Thrash and Death Metal), the band comes up with an aggressive way of playing and composing.
HellArise’s first rehearsal was in May 9th, 2009. The bands was founded when Renata Petrelli (guitars) left the band Hellgard and started, for the last time, looking for girls to an entire new heavy metal Band.
The first girl called to join the new group was her chords partner in Hellgard, Fernanda Lira (bass), who accepted immediately.
After that, through mutual friends, Renata met Mirella Max who, ever since, takes care of drumsticks with precision.
Flávia Morniëtári, partner at Mackenzie University and Heavy Metal concerts, was asked to be the lead vocals on the band (because of her versatile voice), who accepted to try it after a first rehearsal.
The second guitarist, Bianca, was found through the internet, but joined the band for only three rehearsals. After a month and two tests, Laís Salomão was invited to be the 5th element in the band.
During the second semester of 2009, HellArise girls played some gigs, the first one with an own composition already, named “My Outrage”. After 4 gigs, they decided to focus on new songs to a coming EP.
In January 2010, HellArise was forced to dismiss Laís, because of her several activities (such as studying, work, sports, etc) and her little time to focus on the band. After 4 months without a guitarist and a concert with their friend Marcos Rava (to raise money for their cd), the girls decided to make some tests in order to finally find a new guitarist.
After some tests, Marilia Brito (Sweet Shadow) was invited to join the group by the end of June.
Their Demo cd was recorded during April and May with their friend, musician and band producer Eduardo Murai, and was released in the beginning of July, with Marilia on the new line-up already.
This release was sent for some bands in Europe and their MySpace was released at the same time, in August/2010.
In February, Fernanda left the band because of divergences in musical and artistic directions; Patrícia Schlithler was called up to assume the position of bassist in the band.
At the moment, the HellArisers are in pre-production for their debut album and playing some gigs – even playing some new songs at them – and promoting their Demo, released in 2010.

Harlequin is a band from Los Angeles, California that consists of musicians with tastes that differ greatly in the spectrum of metal/rock music. Their union is an exploration of collaboration between these musical styles, created for the love and sake of true music.

History: 2009

Style: Death, Thrash Metal
Biography:
Harlequin’s origination began with guitarist Tawny A. and drummer Neyda U. back in July 2009; at the time, nothing was official, but the two musicians began playing and growing together as a simple two-piece band with a combination of death thrash and black metal melodies. Around January of 2010, the band formerly and briefly known as “Kobra” extended its hand to guitarist Kimberly O., who brightened up the sound of their music with a more current and technical metal taste. Having built a solid three-piece band with a stronger sound, they searched for a bassist, and in March 2010 that bassist arrived; Rachel S. immediately completed Harlequin’s sound, adding in her grounded rhythms with a touch of spanish metal.
After about a year together, Harlequin has released their first demo that displays the styles and riffs that consumed them within the time frame of being a two-piece band to a four-piece band. The demo is truly a testament to how the band as grown creatively, and perhaps gives a hint as to how much more different the coming albums will be. Though this demo was not concentrated on a single theme, each song was an ode to each band member’s taste in music.
In future albums, they search to find a single solid sound that satisfies intertwines all their tastes. Harlequin now experiments with a variety of heavy metal and classically melodic styles and looks to innovate and improve their sound.
Lineup:
Tawny Arredondo – Vocals, Guitar
Kimberly Orellana – Guitar
Rachel Solis – Bass
Neyda Umana – Drums

Petit brought along her guitarist friend Cori Anderson, which completed the quartet. None of them wanted to do the voice work, so they took the solomonic decision to sing all of them, one of the differential features of these american thrash band.
Unfortunately the band was solid only for a year and a half, long enough to record a demo and act in various venues of their native Detroit. The problems that led to its dissolution began when Amy had to move away from the rest of the girls because of love issues.
Then began the disputes on the future of the band. Taryn wanted to keep it entirely female, but both Hollie and Amy were to accept male musicians. The differences were irreconcilable, and Taryn decided to quit and to continue linked to other death bands. The act continued for another season with another bassist and drummer, but eventually perish.

Their proposal mixes thrash and heavy, but could not be conducted without a third component, Ana Maria Beltran, who took up the drums after answering an ad.
However, this position has changed along Allison’s story, even going to be occupied by the brother of Maricela and Lorena, Luís.
Between 2000 and 2001 they recorded a promo single with the producer Mariano Pavez and a video for the cable channel “Via X”. Their music had changed compared to its thrashy beginning, being more metal/rock back then.
It was not until 2006 that they returned to performing live, and until 2008 that Maricela Bruna has designed a new lineup, with Sandra Leiva (bass, vocals) and Loreto Silva (drums, vocals).
This formation started working on new songs with the hope that they will soon see the light collected in an album. As an advance, the song “Naturaleza Animal” is a good appetizer of what this band can offer, representing return to the heaviest Allison sound.
In June 2009, Lorena Bruna returned to the group, bringing back the original core that ten years ago set the foundations of Allison.

The latter two will not last long in Volkana, being replaced by Marielle Loyola (voice) and Debora (drums), coming from the bands Detrito Federal and Arte No Escuro. With this lineup they moved to Sao Paulo in 1988 to record the demo “Thrash Flowers”, which contained only two songs and gave them some recognition.

Great Brazilian metal band, formed in Brasilia with Mila Menzer (bass), Karla Carneiro (guitar), Ana (drums) and Eliane (voice).
Two years later they recorded their first album called “First”, with a punk-influenced thrash style. They hired a drummer, Sergio Facci, as Deborah had left the band shortly before recording. Pat joined the group, but she also left the band soon afterwards. Due to the failure to find another female drummer, Sergio became an official member of Volkana, which ceased to be a full female full.
After “First” there came more lineup changes. Marielle abandons the mic and gave it to Claudia Franco, while Selma Moreira enters as a second guitarist. As a quintet in 1994 Volkano recorded their second album, “Mindtrips”, an album a little less thrashy and approaching the hard rock, including a version of “Whole Lotta Love”. In it Frank Gosdzik (Mystic, ex-Sodom, ex-Kreator) plays a solo, but it was not enough to keep tha band, as after this album they broke up.
Claudia Franco continued her career in the pop group Almanak.
In 2002 it was published a Volkano vinyl containing their first demo, along with another of Flammea.
2008 has seen a resurgence of Volkano, acting on different populations in Brazil with the following formation: Mila Menezes (bass), Marielle Loyola (vocals), Renata Lopes (guitar) and Sergio Facci (drums).

Looking for more recognition, Yana formed Wench (in fact with 4 ex-PMS), who had some renown in magazines like Kerrang and Rip in the late 80s.
After two demos, they recorded an LP called “A Tidy Sized Chunk”, which included many of the songs contained in the previous demos.
Wench completed two European tours, opening for bands such as Suicidal Tendencies, Agnostic Front, Candlemass and Biohazard. Their sound was compared with that of Metal Church or Metallica, but it personally reminds me of the first Warlock.
After a demo in 1993 nothing else was known about their whereabouts, and Yana decided to form a more accessible music band called Shiny Mama.
The year 2008 could see the Weench reunion, who had started rehearsing with the formation from 1991, but as Yana told us, it’s better to keep the band where it was and not to dwell on old wounds.
